Coaching Philosophy

There will be an emphasis on reaching each player's potential. I believe in a building block approach to skills. Repetition is required to perfect technique and build proper muscle memory.

Instill a love for the game through positive feedback from coaches, parents, and fellow players.  It is also important for the coaches and players to get to know each other as people, not just ballplayers.

Teamwork and fostering friendships is an integral part of team sports as well as supporting each other and providing positive encouragement for one another.

Competition is an important element of any sport. Focus will be on attitude, effort, and helping the players deal with competition in a healthy way.

Practices will be organized and well structured and aim to be fun while providing the instruction needed to improve.

I believe in an “open door” policy with both players and parents. Please see me or one of the other coaches if you have concerns or suggestions with any aspect of the team.

We will probably play in the neighborhood 50-60 games this season.  I can not stress enough the importance that the boys love to play baseball and have a desire to improve.  I can assure you their commitment will be rewarded with the improvement in their skills and the smiles on their faces.
